Saturday afternoon I started having contractions. We really didn't think much of it, but I did start to time them. We had made plans to go out to eat Thai food with Scott's parents throughout dinner, I was still having contractions and they were beginning to get stronger. We left Sweet Basil and went home to time them some more. I decided to call my doctor and he said to go on in to L&D:) Reid went home with Scott's parents, along with Philly & Lucas. Once we got to L&D they checked me and monitored my contractions. I was dilated 4cm and the contractions were consistent so they admitted me. I continued to have contractions for the next 3 hours or so. My dr. decided to go ahead and put me on pitocin which really increased the contractions. around 1 or 2 AM they checked me again and I was now a 5 and my water sack was bulging. They decided to go ahead and break my water and soon after that the hurt began! I was in pain pain pain!!!! Got the epidural and labored until about 4:00...when they checked I was fully dilated and effaced. Quinn was still pretty high up so they wanted me to labor for a bit longer. I started pushing at 5:30 and Quinn was born @ 6:51.
I had some complications afterwards and had to have 2 rounds of blood transfusions and after they stabilized my blood pressure all was good.
So far Reid has adjusted well and Quinn has been great.....hopefully things continue to go well!
